Welcome to Dairy Creek Men's Golf
Club!
DCMGC seeks to get better every year! It takes a
lot of work, and you can help. Your input, support and participation are
greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact any board member with any
question or concern. Should anyone ask you, we have carefully determined
that Dairy Creek is just about in the exact center of Camelot.
NCGA zone Qualifier
Four ball (better ball) Tournament
February 20 & 21, 2010
PLAY – 2 Man Teams. Better Ball, Net Play. Play will be at 90% of the
course handicap, using a maximum index of 18.4. Players with higher
indexes must use 18.4. There is no limit on the difference in
indexes. Two teams will advance to the NCGA South
Coast Zone (playing
Quail Lodge
and Poppy Hills) April 5 & 6, where they will combine to compete in a
“Best Two Balls of Four”. Finals are scheduled for August
30 & 31 (playing Spyglass Hill and Poppy Hills)
TEE TIMES –
From 8:00 am to about 10:00 am. All foursomes will start
from Tee #1. Please
sign in 45 minutes before your tee time. Tee times will be by blind
draw for the first day, please do not request a foursome. Second day tee
times will be by place of finish on the first day, leaders will go last. Please notify Kent
if you will not be playing the second day (withdrawal), so that we can adjust
for twosomes. (no
refunds for skins money or tournament fees)
SIGN UP - Entries close Thursday
February 18th. Teams will be limited to the first 40 two-man teams
to sign up. You may sign up as an individual and we will try to pair
you with someone. Use the signup sheet next to the handicap computer
or email kent@centralcoastgolf.com.
PRIZES – The two winning teams will
receive entry fees and expense money for the NCGA South Coast Zone
Tournament. Additional prizes will be awarded to approximately
1/3 of the field. All entry monies will be returned to the players in the
form of gift certificates (Scrip).
Skills Games – Skills games will include
closest to the hole on all par 3’s. Winners choose a sleeve of
balls from the Proshop.
Entry Fee - entry fee is $25.00 per player ($50.00 per team), $5.00 each
for Gross and Net Skins. Fees are paid at sign-in on the day of the
tournament. Greens Fees and Carts are additional.
Rain or Shine – This is a Rain or Shine event. Only unplayable conditions
will cause a postponement.
NOTE: THE TOURNAMENT & HANDICAP
COMMITTEES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ADJUST HANDICAPS.
